Tess Marks is a multi-disciplinary artist. She resides in Ontario, has three kids, and is creating artwork that is commentary on the female experience, religion, and motherhood. Her work covers a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, and sculpting. She finds inspiration in duality; the beauty in the darkness just as much as in the light. Her practice with oils conveys the deep inner turmoil and conflict she feels. While ink portrays the delicacy and pain in being vulnerable. Lastly, her work with clay emulates the fact that all things must be confronted.
